Services

Three ways AdventureSafe prepares you for the day you hope never comes.

AdventureSafe helps underwriters, insurers, outdoor operators, and law firms understand the true state of risk, rehearse their worst-day response, and turn serious incidents into durable improvements.

Everything we do fits into one continuous loop: Summit Index™ to measure and improve readiness before something happens, First 24™ to stress-test the first day of your response, and Debrief & Lessons Learned to feed post-incident learning back into your system.

Three complementary services, one risk cycle.

You can engage AdventureSafe at any point—before an incident, while designing or revising your playbook, or in the wake of a serious event. The most effective partnerships run all three.

Incident Prevention

Summit Index™ — risk maturity you can see, score, and improve.

Summit Index™ is a structured, evidence-based assessment of your safety and risk systems. It moves beyond “do we have a policy?” into how decisions are made in the field, how communication actually flows, and how your documentation and governance will hold up on your worst day.

We look across domains that matter most for higher-consequence programs: program design and activity mix, staff selection and supervision, medical and incident response, governance, documentation, and alignment with insurers and regulators. The exact weighting is tailored to your operation and risk profile.

The process is collaborative and respectful of your team's time. We start with a scoping conversation, review key documents, talk with leadership, operations, and (where appropriate) field staff, and then map what we're hearing against how incidents are likely to unfold in your environment.

You don't get a binder. You get a clear-eyed picture of where you're strong, where you're exposed, and what should happen next in the next 0–30, 30–90, and 90+ days.

Incident Response

First 24™ Readiness Sprint — rehearse the day you hope never comes.

The first 24 hours after a serious incident shape everything: safety outcomes, reputation, regulatory posture, and how your decisions will be judged months or years later. First 24™ gives you a battle-tested blueprint for that day.

Over a focused 3–4 week sprint, we work with your leadership, operations, and field teams to design and rehearse a realistic worst-case scenario for your programs. The process is collaborative, but structured: you leave with a plan that can actually be followed when people are tired, emotional, and under pressure.

First 24™ is not a generic crisis template. It's built from your terrain, your activities, your staffing model, your communication channels, and your insurance and legal context.

Our First 24™ Readiness Sprint helps clients focus on the moment of consequence: the first 24 hours after something goes wrong, and the decisions that determine how you'll be judged by boards, insurers, regulators, and families.

System Improvement

Debrief & Lessons Learned — turn incidents into durable change.

When something serious happens, organizations often either shut down discussion or overcorrect in ways that don't actually reduce risk. Debrief & Lessons Learned is a structured, forward-looking review that focuses on systems and decisions—not blame.

We work alongside your internal leaders, insurers, and legal counsel to understand what happened, why it happened, and how the system can be strengthened. The goal is to learn enough that the next time looks decisively better—for participants, staff, and the organization.

Findings are fed directly back into your Summit Index™ roadmap so lessons learned don't live in a single report or inbox—they inform how you design, staff, and run programs going forward.

Executive, Board & Staff Briefings

We design and deliver briefings that bring leadership, field staff, and partners onto the same page about your risk profile, decision frameworks, and First 24 expectations. These sessions are built in plain language for non-lawyers and non-clinicians.

  • Board and executive orientation to risk and incident readiness.
  • Workshops for program and field staff on First 24™ roles and expectations.
  • Scenario-based discussions that surface gaps before they show up in real incidents.

For Insurers & Underwriters

AdventureSafe can work directly with carriers and underwriters to help assess prospective or current insureds, raise the floor on risk maturity, and support high-exposure claims with structured reviews.

  • Summit Index™ as part of underwriting or renewal conversations.
  • First 24™ sprints as a condition or incentive for higher-risk operations.
  • Debrief & Lessons Learned as part of high-exposure claim reviews.
